We have 10 nationalities, teams in 7 countries, and a shared obsession with making nutrition science actually work for real people. This is what it is like to work here.
We set out to build a company that could genuinely help people be healthier, at a scale a private dietitian never could, and to do that, we needed genuinely excellent people who could work on a problem worth their time, in a place where the stuff that makes talented people leave elsewhere simply did not exist.

PEOPLE & TALENT
Ieva shapes how Nutrameg hires, develops
and supports the people behind the company.
“We do not build our team around perks. We build it around one belief: exceptional people do their best work when expectations are clear, standards are high and strong performance is recognised. We think of ourselves as a professional team. We choose carefully for every role and invest deeply in the people who belong here. This will not suit everyone, and that is intentional. If you want to do the best work of your career, you will feel at home here.”
People stand out here through their work, better outputs, better margins, real results. Take on a problem and it is yours to finish. We would rather see the work than hear a long explanation for why it isn't done yet. Show the result, not the story about it.
Monthly updates keep everyone close to what is really happening: wins, setbacks, key decisions, what is moving forward and what is not. Every week, the founders send a personal, unfiltered note, so when something important happens, you hear it directly.
Feedback at Nutrameg is direct, specific, and not wrapped in management language. If your work has a problem, you will be told what it is. And you are expected to give the same kind of feedback in the other direction. Telling a co-founder their decision was wrong is not a career risk here. It is, in fact, part of the job.
At Nutrameg, ideas move quickly from discussion to testing. Most product and operational decisions are made within days, while anything involving clinical standards moves at the pace evidence requires. It is a rare mix of startup speed and clinical rigour.
For 19 years, Nutrameg has been writing the rules this industry now runs on, the original company in a category we created, with hundreds of copycats one step behind. Some brands quietly become the generic name for their whole category. That is what Nutrameg is to nutrition apps. The people who thrive here are writing the next chapter.

The Riga office has a corner where the clinical team and the engineers overlap. Some of our best product ideas came out of conversations there that had nothing to do with anyone's job description.

Every week, someone presents something they learned to the whole company. Last week: a paper on how cultural food norms affect adherence to nutrition plans. The week before: why a technical architecture decision was wrong.

Several times a year, we bring the whole company together abroad to step out of the everyday. We work on strategy, tackle cross-team projects, and spend real time together, making the team stronger.
We do not assign tickets and move on. When you take on a problem at Nutrameg, you are responsible for the outcome, with the authority, context, and support needed to deliver it.
Revenue, strategy, mistakes, and challenges are shared openly across the company. People do better work when they understand what is happening and why it matters.
We say what needs to be said, clearly and respectfully. Critique is part of how we improve. Avoiding difficult conversations helps nobody.
Speed matters. But we are also a clinical platform, and scientific quality cannot be traded away for velocity. Knowing the difference matters.
We work with millions of users and billions of data points. Good work is not just functional, it scales, connects, and improves the wider system.
Nobody here has done exactly what we are building before. The people who thrive at Nutrameg are the ones who learn fast, adapt quickly, and keep pushing their thinking forward.
Join a team where you can learn by doing, take on real responsibilities, and build skills that move you forward.
