Our business is scaling fast - and so is our data.
Right now, too much of our data logic lives inside Qlik. It worked in the early days, but it’s now a bottleneck for scale, performance, and integrations.
We’re starting to build a real data backend: proper ingestion, transformations, and a single source of truth that can feed BI, alerts, and external systems.
You’ll be the person who builds and owns that backend as Data Engineer (Strong Mid/ Senior) - Data Platform & Pipelines.
If you’re hands-on, enjoy taking ownership and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment where speed sometimes comes before perfection (but correctness always matters), you’ll fit right in.
What will you do
You take full ownership of data engineering (backend):
Design and build data ingestion from:
PostgreSQL (prod DBs)
Marketing APIs ( such as, but not only Meta, Google Ads etc.)
Mails provider system
GA4
Event based analytic via Segment
Build transformations in the data backend (not in BI)
Decide how things should be built — tools, orchestration, structure (with arguments)
Ensure data is correct, scalable, reusable by many systems
Handle data incidents when they happen (yes, sometimes off-hours)
The Head of Data remains accountable, but you fully own execution and technical decisions.
Applicant requirements
We do not force tools. We expect reasoning.
Warehouse: Snowflake today, but open to change (with a reason)
Primary language: Python (others welcome if you’re strong in them and can clearly justify the choice)
SQL: very strong, optimization-level proficiency required
Orchestration / ETL / ELT: your choice, as long as you can justify it
API-based ingestion: must be explicit and maintainable - black-box solutions won’t cut it
Google Sheets integrations: mandatory
Qlik: used for BI, reporting, and alerts for now; ETL logic should be moved out wherever possible
Salary
Depending on your experience and qualifications salary around 3500 EUR - 5500 EUR GROSS (and even higher, actually, with other bonuses)
